Manufacturing company moving into old GM plant (video)

The old General Motors plant in the Town of Salina is about to have some new life breathed into it. BITZER Scroll, an independent air conditioning and refrigeration company, will be moving into the plant. The move is expected to create around 300 engineering and manufacturing jobs. BITZER Scroll will use a 1.4 million dollar grant from the Empire State Development Corporation to invest in the plant. The company says it will invest 30 million dollars over the next five years. In a press release Governor Spitzer says that BITZER Scroll could have located anywhere in the world, but "the company chose Syracuse and Central New York because we demonstrated the value of our workforce and our knowledge-based resources. " He goes on to say that BITZER Scroll will be the cornerstone of upstate economic revitalization.

Beautiful game?

The way I see it is very simple.

Sledging should not be aggressive.

Rascism should not be tollerated.

Sportsmanship should prevail.

To me excessive sledging and not walking when umpires have made glaring errors is against the spirit of the game and should be viewed as such. The Oz should follow Gilchrist's example of play hard until your out then walk. The problem with this Oz side seems to me the lack of respect they have for their opponants (with a few exceotions).

My most pervading memory of the glorious 05 Ashes tour was not the victory parade but the duel and mutual respect shown between Flintoff and Bret Lee - this was what I loved about that tour two teams at it hammer and tongs yet in the midst of it was a paramount mutual respect.

New Altima coupe looks like a winner

For years, Toyota and Honda have offered alternatives for those seeking a car as well-designed and well-built as a Camry or Accord sedan but with more sportiness and more expressive styling: the Camry and Accord coupes.

This summer Nissan followed suit; for buyers who like Nissans and like the Altima sedan but want something that looks less common -- sportier -- than a sedan, there's now an Altima coupe.

Leaving aside the inherent impracticalities of a coupe's long doors and cramped rear seat, the Altima looks like a winner.

Baker wanted to give it a facelift and the job he did surpassed excellence.

Torri's Tipplers and DDD's.

Just thought we should throw out a few tentative dates for the Challenge next year. As we are a bit spread out over the map, this may take some sorting. I am open for the end of June or thereabouts. Anyone else? Aside to Randie: Will we take the same Air Canada flight or British Airways or whatever is cheapest, or should we be like the Royal Family and travel separately? In case one of us crashes, the other will still be available?
